Homemaker Binder

Lately, I have browsing Pinterest and have been obsessing with organization. I started searching house binder, homemaking binder, and home management binder and found tons of great sites with lots of free printables. I have been wanting to get a better schedule for myself and get organized with my cleaning. Some days I get a little off track and I am hoping this will help!

On Monday is July 1st. I am hoping by July 31st I will have a completed binder!! Giving myself 30 days is plenty of time to gather ideas, print off sheets and get a binder all organized. I am obsessed with lists and Tony always tells me whats the point of a list if I don’t ever use them. Well, this is hopefully a way I can keep my lists together and actually cross a ton off!!

I have a few main categories I want to have in the binder and then I will be doing subcategories.

Main:

Mission statement- I found this on http://www.inspiredtoaction.com

here is a link about why mothers need a mission statement.

Prayers and Daily Devotions- (monthly prayer lists for Tony and the kids)

To Do List- (daily, weekly, monthly)

Calendar- (weekly, monthly)

Cleaning- (morning routine, night-time routine, daily, weekly, monthly)

Kids Routines- (morning, night-time, weekly)

Sitting- This is for the children I am watching (child information, schedule, parent information, emergency information)

Menu- (meal planning, favorite recipes, grocery lists)

Bills- (due date, what is paid, payment plans)

Extras- (birthday lists, important numbers)

I will probably be adding as I go by and think of more items. Starting tomorrow I will be making my deep cleaning list and breaking down what I would like to do daily on what day that works for our family. I am pretty excited to get it started! I will post all the links I find the great printables as well. I am probably going to have to make a few myself just to fit it to our family but in the end I hope it works great for us!!

Do you have a homemaking binder? I would love to see if you have posted! When I finish mine I will be doing a post of it!

Ten Things You Might Not Know About Me

Ten Things You Might Not Know About Me

Roxanne Stokkers Wiscomom

1. I love brussel sprouts- they are absolutely delicious! Probably my favorite vegetable.
2. I hate my bones touched. Yes, I know so weird right?! Well, its really gross to me and it will actually make me feel sick to my stomach. Like elbows, ankles, wrists, ribs, and especially collar bones!
3. I love all kinds of music. Country and Christian are my two favorites at the moment.
4. I am only 4’10”! On occasion I can ride all the rides I swear!! My girls will hopefully pass me up!! Though daddy is only about 5’9″
5. Penguins are my true love especially for Christmas time but my love of owls have taken over my house! Soon I will have to count my collection!
6. I am trying to live by His word. To find God and live within his grace.

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9

7. I have been a stay at home mom since April 2012. Best decision ever!
8. I love creating items: handsewing, painting, scrapbooking, projectlife, and diy furniture.
9. I am a procrastinator which I hate. Trying to be much better. I tend to move from project to project. That’s why my house never looks clean when I have been cleaning all day!! I go from one thing to another too often rather than sticking to one room and finishing.
10. Tony and I met online and decided to meet and just look at us now!! Two lovebirds with two little birdies by our side!

Obsessed with Baby

When I was pregnant with Tenley I had joined a Facebook group for October due date mothers off the What to Expect Website. Very good website, I met a lot of great women and got really good information. This group was for all the pregnant mothers who were due in October 2011. What a great set up! After, we all started having our kids the ones who were still pregnant were being taken over by those who actually delivered. I decided to make a Moms group. Most of the women who were on the WTE October group moved to my group and others that were friends of mine. This group has been successful still now, and is growing everyday! We are bunch of wonderful women who have different input on how to raise our children. The group is mainly a support group for moms who want to brag, just vent, talk about anything, and meet new people. After 6 months it has 300 great women! While being in this group I have come to realize that I am obsessed with baby! Not even joking! My life has become babies/ toddlers/ playtime and nap time. I discuss baby all the time. I am pretty sure that those of my friends who have no children get quite annoyed with me always talking about babies. I do have adult time too (well sort of). I am not married, have two children, have bottle and breast-fed, had a c-section and a vbac. I am really open to learning new tricks of the trade and love hearing stories of other moms lives.

I have just recently become a stay at home mom and I would have to say it is one of the hardest jobs I have ever done! It’s a constant job, there is no breaks! Even in the bathroom, I don’t think when my child has been home with me that I have been able to pee alone more than a hand full of times! Amazing right?! Just the kind of job you want! I have to admit like two weeks before I decided to quit my job I had all these great projects I was going to accomplish!! The house was going to be spotless! I know I know you are all laughing at me when you read that!! Since, I never was a sahm I really didn’t know what to expect!! My days off of work were crazy but never expected everyday to be like that!! Well, sorry to say I was wrong! I really now know those moms who used to come into my work with her three kids and looked all frazzled I know I understand!! Mother to mother I know!

How has your life changed since being a sahm or sahd?!?!

My Stick People Family

I am currently obsessed with the cars that have the vinyl stick people family on their back windows. They are too cute! I know most people hate them, and yeah its annoying to some. But, I absolutely adore them! Ever since becoming a “mom” I am in love with “mom” things! Today my daughter was invited to my friends sons first birthday party! All I did was talk mom things. Diapering, naps, tantrums, to my sex life as a mom. Its been a great transition in my life having kids. Truly has made a better person! My kids are my life and I believe I was made to be a mother. I have a few friends who never want to be a mom. That seems sooo weird to me since I don’t even know what my life was like before kids. Yes, I do miss the occasional bar time and being spontaneous when it comes to plans but, I wouldn’t change it for anything. I just recently became a stay at home mom and I would say this job is the most difficult decision I have ever made. We don’t have money coming in like before (not like I made much) but it did pay a bill or two. I will gladly quit the cable and eat in more just to save a buck! Wish I knew more couponing.. anyone know how to?? Message me!! I could always use the help! So back to my stick people family. I was looking at the newspaper ads and saw the jewelry that has stick people. I am not really a jewelry person but have always wanted aka: a mothers ring/ necklace! I pointed hinting… Mothers Day is coming up soon! He said will the stick people for your car work! I almost died!! I didn’t think he knew I loved them soo much! Well, here’s to hoping in my future soon I too could have a stick people family!
